Kimberley v Yellows followed by Yellows v Boston

Last night, Pinchbeck United's defeat at home to Sleaford, handed step 5 survival to Hucknall Town FC, though a mathematical miracle possibility still exists where that could, in theory change.

Realistically Yellows are safe as they go in to tomorrow's rearranged United Counties Premier Division North match against Kimberley MW.

It has been a season of change and challenge on and off the pitch after a euphoric last season, but in the end Step 5 football will be played at the RM Stadium next season.

The Manager and the squad will be wanting to make sure the last two matches are played with the intensity of recent performances in order to make that mathematical calculation irrelevant as the Gaffer outlined. "Whilst results have gone favourably our way this week to almost guarantee our safety, we still need a point to mathematically confirm our place at step 5 next season. Our hugely better goal difference is currently the difference, but I want us to finish strongly and we have the final 2 games to deliver beyond doubt and I’ll ensure that we remain focused on finishing the season as strong as possible".

Tomorrow's match will be played at the home of Ilkeston Town, The New Manor Ground Awsworth Rd, Ilkeston DE7 8JF. Kick off is 7.45pm.

News regarding Saturday's final home match against Boston Town FC.

The supporters have been immense this season and the club is grateful for your patience during what has been a difficult season behind the scenes by those running the club as well as those on the field. You have proved that there is power and influence by sticking with us through these difficult times. Your support this season, especially at away matches, has definitely spurred on the squad to perform, especially in the critical final stages of the season.

As a thank you to our home supporters especially and in an effort to create a real buzz in the stadium on Saturday to end the season on, we will be allowing all supporters in FREE of charge. All that we ask is that a donation is considered upon entry to our chosen charity for the day, details of which will be announced later this week.

We hope to see lots of you at Ilkeston tomorrow as well as at the RM on Saturday. The club, the Manager and the squad will be going all out to try and end the season with two good performances and achieving more points on the board. Commenting on the clubs decision to allow free entry on Saturday, Manager Reece Limbert was again complimentary of the support the squad has received. "This season has been an emotional rollercoaster, especially for the fans and I’m proud that we can offer this gesture as a thank you for their outstanding support. We have the loudest and most loyal supporters around and I’m glad we can repay their support in this way".

More details will follow regarding Saturday's home match but for now we as a club should be proud that we have managed to get ourselves to the position that exists today; the club Management team who give so much of their time behind the scenes, the team Manager and coaches, physio and of course those that have really done the business of late on the pitch, the squad themselves, all of those along with our supporters have created a formidable group that are going to provide us with a chance again to compete at this level next season.
