This Saturday we welcome Newark Town to the RM Stadium in the UCL Premier Division North.
On the back of an emphatic win at the weekend against Melton Town FC, the squad will be in confident mood and be looking to at least continue the unbeaten run.
Manager Tris Whitman was extremely pleased with the performance at Melton. "Saturday was possibly the best performance since coming in as Managers. It was a game where everything we have worked on clicked. Out of possession we pressed hard and regained the ball high up the pitch and denied Melton to very limited opportunities, although they did threaten on the counter a few times during the first half. I felt we moved the ball exceptionally well and created lots of overloads across the pitch which led to us dominating the ball for large periods and creating numerous scoring chances. This was reflected in the overall score line and contributed towards what was a really positive result".
Whitman will be keen to maintain that level of performance as he prepares the team for the weekend. "This week we have arranged a friendly against Dunkirk on Wednesday to allow for some players to get some minutes in and prepare for Saturday's home game against Newark Town. We are really hoping for a good crowd and the club is making some concessions to pricing to try and get some football fans into the ground that may have not been before".
Saturday is National non league day and again the club will be supporting and celebrating this as we are welcoming those who may not be regular visitors to the RM Stadium, as they follow other professional clubs. Therefore, any supporter who presents, at the turnstile on Saturday, a season ticket for any Premier League or EFL club will gain admission for half price. (Full price adult being £8). Also, anyone showing their armed forces card at the turnstile will be allowed free entry and all under 16 year olds can come to Saturday's match for free too to get a taste of non league football. The match kicks off at 3pm with the Aerial Suite open from 1.30pm.
